Build it and they will come.
The Shirlington Crest development by Stanley Martin has proven to be a pretty big hit with homebuyers. I can see why. The homes are truly lovely, and offer a good value for someone who wants the convenience of Arlington living with the luxury touches offered these days in new construction.
Aquitaine Model, Shirlington Crest in Arlington VA
There are currently 3 Aquitaine models listed for sale on the MLS, with prices ranging from $517,900 to 570,990. Prices vary depending on location and finishes used in the unit. The Aquitaine is the least expensive model built. The next step up in terms of square footage (and price) is the Provence, and there is one listed in the MLS for $579,900. The third tier, and most expensive townhouse is the Brittany. There is currently one of these models listed for sale in the MLS, at a price of $651,990.
I always recommend that my clients check out the neighborhood IRL by talking to neighbors, visiting the local grocery stores, and driving through it at different times of day. Of course, you can always find some info online, and for Shirlington Crest I recommend you read their neighborhood blog.
